Best Bird Watching Spots
at Moro Ma Doto
Discover the beauty of nature through bird watching at Moro Ma Doto. We recommend three prime locations within the resort area that are home to a rich variety of bird species, including unique endemics found only in Morotai. Follow the directions on the map below to explore each spot and enjoy the unforgettable experience of observing birds in their natural habitat.
Garden Cafe
Nestled within the Moro Ma Doto garden area, this spot serves as a natural habitat for several endemic bird species of Morotai Island. We recommend visiting in the early morning (6:00–7:00 AM) or late afternoon (5:00–6:00 PM), when the birds are most active and frequently in flight.
Bird Nest
As its name suggests, this location within the Moro Point Resto area is home to a variety of endemic bird species of Morotai Island. Visitors can observe different species of birds here almost at any time of the day.
Pizza Beach Bar
This location is equally captivating, especially in the late afternoon. While relaxing at the Boathouse pool, guests may encounter several bird species that either inhabit the area or simply pass through.
